Inherited my grandfather's 44 special revolver. on the butt of the handle are the numbers 3191 and underneath the yolk is 1.17 and when you remove the grip pads the number 3062 is toward the very bottom. The pearl handle is off a different gun my grandpa put that on after he owned it.

Your grandfather had excellent taste in firearms. You should be very proud to care for this gun. Triple Locks are very collectible and sought after.

Yup, triple lock for sure. You can see the locking lug at the front of the yoke in the first picture. The grips are Franzite not pearl. Franzite was an early form of plastic.
That is one of the most desirable of all S&W production revolvers. Very cool.
