I just inherited a 4006 spring loaded decocker. Outside of the recoil spring, are there any other parts they should be replaced for preventive maintenance? I know it’s kind of an obsolete design and didn’t do anything better than a Glock but it seems to be a pretty cool and hefty design.

Welcome to the forum welcome01

Mighty nice blaster you inherited.
I'm no expert by any means, but I'd look to replace all the major springs (recoil, hammer, firing pin, and whichever one causes the trigger to return/reset.)
Also mag springs for any magazines you have that are as old as the gun.

Pictures would be great!

You have a great gun. I have shot my 4006 for years and I don’t even know how many rounds are through it and it just keeps on going. I have never replaced any part. It was my EDC for years.

Wolf springs offers a spring pac for the 4006. I recently purchased a used 4006 in good condition. The first thing I did was to replace all the springs. You an also find the spring pacs on eBay. Things wear out over time. Springs weaken with time.
