I have 4 S&W revolvers I'm looking for some basic info on.
Just ordered my S&W Book so in a couple of weeks I will be able to look up anything else coming my way.

2) 66-2, 2.5", .357 Mag, Stainless, Ser #ACC75XX

3) 686-4, 4", .357 Mag, Stainless, Ser #BRW50XX

4) 629-4, 4", .44 Mag, Stainless, Ser #BRK41XX

IF YOU CAN GET ME ANYTHING ON THESE I WILL BE EVER SO GRATEFUL - GQ

All from SCoSW, 3rd Ed.

If you have the boxes or fired cases, you can get a date from them that is within about 2 days of Mfg. The fired case envelopes give the date directly; the boxes have a date code: E.G. '0212' would be the year 2000 (the leading '0'), and the 212th day of 2000 (the ending 3 digits).

RonJon,
Thanks for the info on the box. I never new what the codes were about. That will help a bunch. I have the boxes for all of these guns and most of them have the original papers but no cleaning/screwdriver kits.
