.38 S&W Special CTG

Please help me identify my .38 S &W special CTG. It was a gift from grandpa and he can't remember where or when he got it. Would just like to know how old it is and whether its safe to use +P ammo. The serial number is K768XXX. Thanks for any help. View attachment 467239

Your gun is from 1967. We will need some photos for further information.

There is one photo attached to this post. I accidentally posted twice and the other one has more photos. I identified it as a K38 Combat Masterpiece. Thank you for giving me the year. Is +P ammo safe for it?

Might have shipped in very early 1968. If it has a model # it is safe for +P. Given that serial number it would be a Model 15 4" barrel more than likely if it is a Combat Masterpiece.

Here is a K38 Combat Masterpiece that shipped in 1957.

Here is a Model 15-2 that shipped in Oct 1963.
