The only molds I've found for my Ruger .32's have been for WC's in RCBS. I'd like to hear anyone's suggestions as to molds they've owned in SWC's or even roundnose. Ideally, I'd like to find a hollow-point mold ;)

The only fellow I know who has fooled with the .32 Mag, used FN bullets cast from .32-20 moulds - I think Ideal/Lyman 3118 and 311316, a G/C FN. I think both of them cast ~112-115gr. bullets.

He no longer loads for any of the .32s, do you want me to track down the moulds?

What weight do you want? The Lee .30 cal "soup can" mold runs around 120gr. Over on Castboolits.gunloads.com there are a number of guys shooting .32's, from the little top break to the 32-20 and .32Mag. Go over there and read, do a search for .32 in the topic and you will probably find more than you want.

BTW, one of the guys over there, Buckshot by handle, will hollowpoint any mold for a very reasonable price. He's done a couple of mine.

Dave,

Thanks a bunch...looks like the link I should have been looking for :D

I had a chance to shoot the little birdhead SS...what a little tack driver. I'm normally only so so on a fixed sight gun. But dang, I was pretty proficient with this one ;)

She's a keeper...

The latest Feb. '09 issue of Handloader has an article on the .327 Fed. by Brian Pearce. Not your cartridge, but it uses the same bullet. He is usually a pretty good writer and lists all sorts of sources for bullets.

Most new cartridge offerings usually leave me cold, but this one has gotten my attention.

I do not need another cartridge to load for and bullet to cast for..... :)
