Personally, no, but it's good to have options.

I'm not really a fan of all these tic tac sized micro guns either. For me they are hard to shoot. They are built for the hands of a female or a child.

I like regular sized guns in good calibers. I believe in 40 caliber or above and in a gun that is not tiny like so many today.

I usually carry a 1911 in 45 auto but somehow people today think it's impossible to carry one.

Given the competing trends that people want both a tiny little gun that they can put in their sweatpants pocket, but still have 15 rounds in the mag, and also given that it seems people don't really care about horsepower or bore diameter anymore (they regularly carry 32 auto, 380 auto, 9mm luger), I can see how the 30 SC came about.

Absolutely not interested even a tad. I have what I want and reload for them.
Well, I gave up on reloading almost 40 years ago, but with enough 9mm and .380 ammo already in the bunker for the rest of my natural lifetime times at least 3, I am all set. (y):giggle:(y)

No need or desire whatsoever for another caliber. I am not at all a "must absolutely limit my calibers" kind of guy, but this one just doesn't make sense at all for my situation.

If you gave me one for free, with 10,000 rounds of ball ammo along with 2,000 rounds of carry I would take it. For free! I have examined the pistol in my hot little hands, seen the price of the ammo-No way would I purchase one of those pieces of crap 💩 and the high priced ammo…. Just my opinion, but they are making this for the first time buyer that buys it, shoots a box thru it with their free range pass the day they buy it, and puts it away in a drawer for eternity. And ALL the gun rags will rage about how superb the pistols and ammo are, and perfect for its niche. Again proving that journalistic integrity among gun writers has left the building!

EXACTLY my thoughts.. First time gun buyer, female friendly round, takes wife/girlfriend to range, and then sits "for eternity" in a drawer.. Lol.. Its just a slower 762x25..

Talked to Gunsmith Friend Thursday. Is funny that He said S&W would provide one box of the 30 SC with each gun. Then he said that is great but he cannot find any anywhere that he can stock. Hmmmm.

Sounds like my friend the FFL trying to get rid of his Ruger-5.7's. :ROFLMAO:

Probably bad timing given the ammo situation but if you like it go buy it.

Give us a range report. Give us a carry report. Give us a gel penetration and expansion report.

One benefit of an odd ball cartridge is if one is ever detained by police and accused of a shooting........be nice to be packing an odd ball cartridge that literally no one else in that county has.

I look forward to reading your review after shooting a few boxes of .30 SC. Until then… :)
If you go back and read my previous post.........You'll see that I wouldn't have one if they were free........LOTS better stuff already out there.

In fact the 30 Tokarev or 30 Luger is almost 100 years old and a MUCH better catridge.

I have been reading up on this a bit and I am intrigued. I have a friend who has an EZ In 30SC and it is amazing to shoot however I personally don't like the EZ. I am waiting on the new shield plus to ship and when it does I'm grabbing one. When I shot his for the first time all I kept thinking was " why hasn't this been tried before?". The feel of a micro in .380 with the punch of a 9mm, and the extra 2 rounds don't hurt curb appeal. The only thing that remains to be seen is the ammo cost which will be interest based for a while then who knows? What do you guys think? In, out or too early to tell?
When I get mine I will post full range report with pics, I haven't been this excited about a new release in a long while.

Precisely why I carry 10mm, not the only one in the country by any means, but few use them for CC - like someone else said, everyone seems to think you can't carry something in 1911 size. My 29 glock is a bit smaller, but certainly not lighter or lightweight and no one produces an ultralight cause like the wimps in the fbi of the 80's many would whine about the recoil. I say load up a 329 Smith 44 with 300grainers and then you can complain about recoil all u want :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:😂

Cloan....

So you practice this? NICE. 10 mm is pretty rare.....actually anything other than 9 mm Parabellum is pretty rare. I only carry .38 SPL or .45 ACP and I keep my firearms clean as a whistle.

I own something like 2 dozen 9mm Para's but haven't carried one since 2012.

.30 SC?

More like .32 ACP Magnum!

Yes, look at the specs... the bullet is a .312!

Which is a problem for me... as I seem to have developed a .32 obsession... Mauser 1914 .32 ACP, S&W 30-1 .32 S&W Long, Ruger SS .32 H&R, S&W 632 .327 Fed, S&W 1905 4th .32-20, Uberti 1849 .31 pocket.

Then the Henry .327 carbine, the Win 53 td .32-20, the Win 94 .32-40, & the Win 94 .32 spcl.

Good thing I do NOT like plastic-framed pistols, and that 1911 is WAY too pricy for my budget. (Yeah, that's the ticket... keep telling myself that, never weaken... darnit!)

Typically I carry .40 or .45. I have 9mms, but if I'm carrying that chances are it's in a back up role.

That's exactly why it caught my eye. I was carousing the 32 ACP specifications a few months before this was announced and thinking to myself that if someone bumped up the bullet weight just a smidge, then added powder until it was travelling at 9mm speeds, it would probably actually make a decent round. I wouldn't call it a 32 magnum since it's not quite moving at 1450 FPS, but it's the update the cartridge has sorely needed to be viable outside of antiquated novelty guns.

Yep. I carry 9's a lot as I have a couple that are very to pretty light G26, G43 and S&W EZ, but if I'm wearing jeans and it is not really hot out, I carry a G29. Also carry a S&W 340 w/357s in her sometimes and the occasional Civil Defense rounds in 38Spl in a Case Colored Uberti Derringer. And for mtn biking, either a High Std 22 mag Derringer w/snake shot and hollowpoints or a keltec .380 extended mag, loaded hot w, Golden Sabres, Civil Defense and Underwood Hard Casts
