I guess I dont have to tell gun owners what we are up against. There is a grass roots movement that has just started. The goal of this movement is to have millions of gun owners rally in Washington DC and across the country in the Spring of 2010. In just the few days that our website has been up, we have posted almost 700 members! We ask, that if your 2nd Amendment rights are important to you to please go to our website: milliongunownermarch.com or: secondamendmentmarch.com Join up, and join in!!!! This is an issue of great importance, and we hope that all of you here will take the time to get on board!!! Your "participation" is needed now! We ask that all of you spread the word, and get your friends and forum contacts notified....Now is the time to take a stand, and "just say NO" to restrictive gun laws that inhibit the rights of law abiding gun owners!!! see you there!!!

Re: 2nd Amendment March on Washington DC

I'm committed.

Anyone that needs a ride from The North East to the march can travel with me.

I can take 5 in comfort in my SUV.

4 Seats Left. Please drop me a line if you want to go and I'll put you on my ride list.

If we get more than will fit the Tahoe, I'll drive the Grand Marq. as well.

Fuel, Tolls are on me.

Drew

On the 10 million I am not kidding. We MUST have firearms owners stand up to Obama and his democrat subjects or we WILL loose our rights!!!!

Sorry if this puts some of you off. But we can no longer play nice!! Our rights are on the line!!! at least in my humble opinoin!

I will go and know many others who will to_One million is not enough like some one else said 10 million would be a minimum. We should come with packs so we can stay more than one day also. For the people who cannot come they should be encouraged to march on there state capitals at the same time.Impeachment should be on sighns also.If Obama calls out the national guard then he will be trampling on our right to assemble and to free speach. That would be breaking the law and grounds for impeachment. If we come armed he will use it against us claiming we are trying to start a armed revolution and calling out the national guard will be to his advantage. Unarmed we would be over whelming for the officials in Dc and there would be nothing they could do to us that would not be on national news and illegal.
The nra needs to help with this and send out pamplets to every member and ask members to recruit others for the march. It also should take place this summer not in 2010.Organizations like the VFW and vietnam vets and korean should be contacted and ask for support and invited to fly there banners.Shooting organizations and companies like cabellas etc should be ask to come also.
This would be a nightmare to Obama and his down fall and there is a good chance he could be impeached along with his good buddy Biden and others.if the march was for three days instead of one more people would be motivated to join in and with the news coverage that would surely be there.Obama would be on the hot seat and forced to back off or make moves he will regret immensely.

A note of caution, if I may. While I understand the emotional support content for those who participate, I suspect that such a gathering will be completely misrepresented in the press. Not only will the numbers be minimized but the reigning authorities may well trumpet the dangers of such an "extremist mob." My preference would be for all of that time, money, and energy to be spent talking to people in person and on the 'net. I see no value in notifying the politicians that we are against them. I do see tremendous value in just voting them out and the best way to do that is to convince the public, one by one, that we are right.

Just a thought....

I understand completely and am definitely not trying to discourage people from going. I just can't help but wonder if this is going to make the impression we think it is. I'm not convinced it is the best tactical move to make, but then I tend to think that about any large demonstration. I'm not a fan of large angry crowds, no matter how polite and well behaved they may be.

I think like shorty,
If 1 million people marched into the capitol, CNN would say a biker convention was cloging up the streets. Then they would zoom in on a couple nazi skin-head types and claim how the police have been notified because of their loud profanities or racial slurs.

As much as I hope it would work, I feel it will just fizzle. The media is against us...

While I do agree with ShortRanger, we have to do something.....before it's too late!!! No matter what we do, the liberal press is going to give it a negative spin. It doesn't help having the recent shootng incidents, either!!!! nbvoALO Bob

Eh, I hate Washington, D.C. The climate sucks and it smells. What's more, I hate the people who live and work there. I don't trust 'em. They smell like greed and overweening ambition. Mendacity is their creed. I fear getting close to them. Stupidity is contageous, or so I hear.

Nope, I won't go. I'd sooner stay at home and work to get them fired. My pitiful little voice would be lost in the din of one million voices. I'm a big frog in this little pond and my croaking is loud and irritating to the idiots, imbeciles and morons who purport to represent me. 'Sides that, I hate crowds. Big, gooey globs of humanity make me nervous and they sweat. Ugh!

I wish y'all well and I hope something good comes from all y'alls efforts. Take care and stay safe.

shortranger,, The government has already done much harm. And with the accommodating Republican Rear Guard of this very day. This battle started (if not before) back when TARP was passed bailing out Fanny May/ Freddie Mac and Senator Dodd , Senator Schumer and House Rep. Barney Frank, all with the help of the Republicans. The House has done nothing but Cave-in, even under Speaker John O'Boehner and his Rear Guard Crew like House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and yes, Paul Ryan who referred to the 2nd as, "sportsmen's rights". They are at best, debased elected handlers of (what they see as their) Human Resource. The day should give pause to even the vicarious living, Sports Fans, yet they are still dull and delusional. They (dems and repubs) have robbed the Republic of wealth
and the wealth yet to be earned by generations yet to be born. Now they want our, "Unalienable Rights".
