Picked this up Last October just before bow season.
Great S&W classic..95-97%. P/Case was in fair shape and with all the tools.
Belonged to an older gent on the deer lease just North of mine.
He had talked about it bringing for near three seasons.
I had a pre 64 Win 94 30/30 he wanted for a grandson soon we made a trade.

I'll echo AR15: That is a beautiful revolver.

One has to wonder if one that nice is carried and shot. I have a similar 29-2 from 1976 with the 8 3/8 inch barrel that I carry holstered and shoot a lot. Mine looks pretty bad compared to yours. It is the only gun I own that sports Pachmayr rubber. My favorite load for it is a 215 gr. cast semi-wadcutter loaded on top of a healthy charge of Unique. Shoots like a champ.

The serial number range is N 131xxx.
As of last December, I'm back in the city with my the PD as a Civilian have not had the
chance to shoot it.
New assignment has really cut into my woods time.

Xfuzz, yes a beauty. I had one, a 29-2 nickle like yours. Guess what, I traded it for a like new early post war Winchester-94, 30-30. Just the opposite of your trade. I guess that Winchester just wanted to go home with me. . .Of course I'm not exactly out of model 29's, but definitely short of a nickled one. . .Enjoy.
