This is a pre-27 S80xxx that is lettered to 1-31-1957.

It has non-relieved stocks which I couldn't find a picture of the other side.

I think today that I like them more.

Just dazzling. The classic quality will always be appreciated but never seen in a new gun. Thanks.

Thanks everyone.

If you asked me what my favorite gun is, I'd have to say this .357 Magnum 3 1/2" barrel lettered to 7-6-1951. It just celebrated it's 69th birthday!

The stocks match but no box. I think the current S&W revolvers are perfect in the 1946-1962 era. JMO, of course.

Your S80xxx must have set around awhile before shipping. I have a S80xxx that i think shipped around 1952. What is the first couple digits on your 1951 model? Both beauties.

I really can't tell if it's blue or nickel!

Beautiful guns, Doc! Maybe you'll show them to me if we ever get together again w/o virus. I see they moved the date of the Marietta show. We had a show over 4th weekend...lightly attended by vendors and shoppers.
