Anyone out there have info on Combat Magnum serial numbers? I know they started at K260001 but on what day/date? Mine is K260060; would this be a first day production? Waiting on my letter from the SWHF.

S&W 4th edition states the lowest known serial number K2600001 was shipped on Jan 5, 1956.

I have serial K261987 and it was shipped in February 1957.

The Model 19 and Model 19-1 are more rare than the pre-19 Combat Magnum. All are hard to find.

Thanks for the info guys. Would have thanked you all before today but have had problems getting back on. Still waiting on my historical letter to arrive. Will post results when it comes.
