  1. S&W Revolvers 1945 to Present
Just bought my first revolver a 686+ and am trying to learn best cleaning practices. Some people say they remove the crane and clean it every range trip, others say they never have never will. Given the latter I'm sure it'd run fine, but I'm a bit ocd about cleaning and a 5 min cleaning routine...

Hello all, Seeing how my first revolver love is the 686 (7rd) I guess I will ask the group for where it first shows up. Hello all, I recently purchased a new 686+ 6", which I really like a lot. I have shot about 30-40 rds of .357 and 100 rds of .38 through it. Very accurate and smooth action. Here is my problem / question: Starting with the very first shot, I have now accumulated 4 split cases, all .357 magnum...

I've done some research, yet I still can't locate a weaver or picatinny rail I like for my 686. Any one know of one they'd recommend? I'm looking to mount an Aimpoint Micro on her for fun. Also if you know of a good site to get new iron sights at. The stock are fine, but I'd like something...
