    New to me Model 63

My model 63 came in a couple of weeks ago. It hadn't been cleaned in a while and the cylinder face looked like it had never been effectively cleaned, but I spent about 45 minutes on it, including Birchwood Casey Lead Remover clothes on the cylinder face & it cleaned up nicely. It's my first Smith & Wesson revolver (i own a PC1911 & a Shield), and I'm quite happy with the purchase. The first pic is of the revolver face when I received it and the next two are after I cleaned it up a little.

The Model 63 is a great choice for your first revolver. Here's mine - always a favorite...

Just because it’s your first it won’t be your last. Just stay here a while and we will make sure you have a good collection in no time. BTW nice gun.

Congrats on obtaining a great firearm. You did a great job cleaning it up and I am sure you'll enjoy it.

I keep a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take an ass whoopin'!
