When I was a kid, I had two baby antelope. Their mother had been killed by a car. I raised them on a bottle. Named them Tom and Jerry.. They eventually drifted off and found other antelope to live with.. Had no way to identify them so I don't know what became of them.

    Fun while it lasted.

The more I'm around people, the more I like sheep, and I hate sheep.

Standardbred horse, but not a pet really.

When you're old and live in the mountains in the country, you tend to have more different kinds of pets. We're currently down to one dog and one duck since I just gave away my donkey and goats. When I was a kid, we had dogs, cat, pigs, cows, rabbits, goats, turtles and a monkey. When the kids came along, we had a parrot, gerbils, guinea pigs, Llama, pony, geese, parakeet and other critters.

Pete is a cute little turtle and looks happy and content! Kenneth's Grandfather had a pet raccoon that he carried around on his shoulders like a baby, we have some old as in back in the 1940s or so pictures of the two of them.

Everything that happens is either endurable or not. If it’s endurable, then endure it. Stop complaining. If it’s unendurable . . . then stop complaining. Your destruction will mean its end as well.

We also have 2 dogs and a cat to keep the turtle happy. I hand feed the turtle but have to really watch him. His aim is terrible and when he grabs a finger tip he doesn't want to let go. In spite of the turtles reputation as slow, when he strikes out for food he is fast as lightning and his neck extends out about 3 inches.

Well, the only doggie I have left is a 16 year old min pin, Sissy, that we love absolutely.

My keenly mourned basset mix, "Micky" who's been gone 10 sad years.

My also keenly mourned petite basset griffon.

I also have a pet rock, Dwayne. Eats next to nothing, sits in my lap for hours and protects me from muggers.

Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.
