Something new for the Glock Girl

Daughter #2 has a 380 Glock that I've been trying to wean her off of. It's not particularly accurate or reliable. Truth be told, she picked it against my better judgement.

Sooo, I got her this CZ Rami BD :

And, being a good Dad, I put in a CGW pro trigger kit, hammer and trigger.

She likes it! Hopefully the Glock will be up for sale soon.

I have only fired a G42 once. I am not a great, or even good shot IMO. I was whacking a target @ 25yds pretty good. Depending on when that pistol was built....there has been some internal changes. The mags on the first ones were replaced by Glock with a different mag. The junk ones had a 1 on them. Glock was in a rush to get the 42 out there. I called it before they did it. Not so with the 43, never heard an unkind word about them.

If you want to bash the 42 then by all means enjoy. I would trust my life with to one. How far out were the "accuracy" problems. That is a "up close and personal gun."

The only .380 I have owned was a Ruger LCPII. I traded it last week for a Sterling Stainless .22 pistol to my brother in law. I ordered a new LCPII yesterday morning.

That looks to be a very nice new gun. I have never owned CZ but my friends that do really like them. Guns are really personal thing and am glad she wants one to protect herself and enjoy.

The CZ Rami (any CZ) is great gun I like CZ a lot but the Rami can not be compare to the Glock 380. Totally different guns. Even from this CZ fan boy the Rami is a little Brick. I don't like the Glock 380 either. But to say it is not accurate or reliable??

I think the 42 is too fat for a .380, and that Rami looks heavy for a 3" barrel. Lots of outcroppings to snag/ get caught on a SD draw for a woman.

Doesn't have any snagging issues in practice.(?)

In any event, maybe we got a fussy 42, but it has occasional FTF with different users. All I can say is it's not a P232. I have a number of Sig and Beretta 380s and the 42 is the worst of the lot.
    YMMV

Yeah, kinda blocky but works for her AIWB. She has an athletic build.

Snagging would be like a purse draw...........I don't have that issue.

Check the number on the back side of your mags. I know my SIL and bro were at a GSSF match and they swapped out the mags back in year 1. Inspected the guts just a few months after the 42 came out. It has been a long time since I read about the internal pistol change/changes.

I have no use for the 42, 43, 43X or whatever the 2 new single stacks are..............

I have a Sig p230/232 and you are not comparing apples to apples vs the Sig.
Then CZ is closer to the Berreta

The Rami is a alloy frame gun with a hammer and a Decoker (BD) vs the Plastic Glock. The Sig is one of the slickest 380's made, I used to "collect" 380's

I was speaking to reliability and accuracy, yeah I know a 232 isn't equivalent to fantastic plastic.
But seeing how they're both 380s to be used for EDC, the comparison is apt.
