    IWB Recommendations please

I hope to be getting my 908s shortly. Plan to carry IWB, if IWB is not already taken up with me.

    Comment on the following:

    Holster recommendations

Ammo: Planning to use Corbon +p 115 gr JHP Now, Hoping to ger Speer Short Barrel +p

Trigger Pull: Seller said had some work done. D/A pull is 7 lbs +-

Included was a wolf spring kit hammer spring already in, do I need it? Recoil spring especially. (comes with hogue grips)

I got the 908 because I was looking for a single stack that was thinner and easier to carry than my XDC. Will I be disapoointed (size)?
BTW nothing but praise for the 908/39 series (except the trigger) that I've read. The main factor I went with one. Another factor is that they are reasonably priced forgotten value in this age of Glock-a-mania.

Is the stainless on these good enough quality that it won't rust next to this sweating mound of blubber. (I am more manitee than man)

Carry cocked and locked or is DA 1st pull enough of a protection? Not a question with the XD.

    All help appreciated*. Thanks.

*About the gun not the weight, I have a wife, doctor and boss to do that. Doc charges me $100.00 to tell me I'm fat, wife and boss do it fo free.

    Re: IWB Recommendations please

You can't carry a 908 cocked and locked.

Decocked with the safety on or off are the only two ways.

You can carry it cocked and off safe, but only a fool would.

Personally, when I carry my 915 is decocked and off safe. The heavy trigger pull is more than enough protection. It's exactly like a revolver.

As far as IWB, FIST #20 is my answer

A lot of wisdom in Jose's post. I've no experience with FIST holsters. I'll just have to take his word for it. It looks well made and functional. As to choice of ammunition...I use WW or Remington 230 gr. FMJ. I don't carry a 9mm. Can't help you there.

I have a 908 and I absolutely love it. Great gun and a joy to shoot. I've never had a problem with the trigger.

I like heavy for caliber bullets. 147 grain at 990 fps (Winchester Ranger B) is my choice.

    Re: IWB Recommendations please

A note on sweat: if you sweat on it, it will rust. Not as quickly or severely as blued steel, but SS will rust just like any other metal. Believe me, I sweat a lot and any SS gun that I carry all day next to my skin or in a sweat-soaked holster will show up with rust marks by the end of the day. Get a holster with a slide guard to protect as much of the slide as possible, don't leave the gun over night in a sweaty holster, and wipe it down every day just as you would a blued gun.

The only thing I know of that won't rust is a Glock, but they are somewhat special in that regard.

I'm not a sweater, but I had good luck with IWB holsters made out of Cordura. They hold the gun securely, but didn't seem to transfer any sweat to the gun.

    +1

I have one for the 1911 and have used it for fifteen years. It's some of the best gun money I ever spent.
