    Highway Patrolman

Hello everyone, this is my first post!

I was wondering if anyone could help me determine the D.O.B., and value of my HP. There is no model number on the revolver. Under the right grip is a Q in a circle, a number 5433, and a D in a triangle. Under the left grip is the number 18179. I hope I did not sound to novice.

    Thanks in advance,
    mgbirsh

    MGB,

    Welcome!

You say that there is no model number on this revolver.... Respectfully, are you looking in the right place?

Here is where you will find the model marking...

Note in this case you will read "MOD.14-1".

Your Highway Patrolman looks to be a typical 28-2 from the 1970-1977 period. If you put up the serial number which is found on the butt of the revolver, we can narrow that date down a little....

    Sebago Son,
I do feel like a novice now! It is a 28-2, serial# N542060. At my age of 60 I would have never thought to look there. My other hand guns are semi-autos and the model #'s are well advertised on the frames. Thank you very much for your reply!

    Your 28-2 Highway Patrolman is...
exactly twice as good as Sebago Son's 14-1...

    Okay you clowns.... what's 14-1 x 3?

Sometimes the numbers just don't add up.
