Need some help with opinions on my 19-2

I posted this about two years ago with little answers so thought I would try it again. This is my 19-2 I bought used about 2 years ago. It's a great gun in great shape. Shoots like a dream. My question is this, the finish is certainly not blued and it's not nickle. If this gun was refinished at one time it was done perfectly. Any ideas. Name: 20191022_225054.jpg

Looks like hard chrome to me. Robar was known for a finish similar to what I see.

    Take a look at this:
Metaloy, Industries - Professional Gun Finishing - hard chrome, blue and polymer finish
Sending guns to Larry Kelly for his "Metaloy" finish was all the rage back when I was shooting a lot of IPSC.

    Armaloy was another popular finish.

They all claimed to be the latest and greatest. I liked them but most of my revolvers are blue now.

Robar was a gunsmithing shop back in the day. They no longer do any gunsmithing or finish work of any kind. They seem to have moved over to the plastic side of the gun market.
Teach them the truth, and let them sort thru the cobwebs of liberalism that have infested their minds.
When the time comes that I don't want a new gun, call the undertaker!
When they come for your guns, give them the ammo first!
.45 ACP, Because shooting twice is just plain silly!
