I received a 66-2, 2.5” as a family hand me down. It is what started my love affair with S&W revolvers.

Size: 214.7 KBI've only got these two 66s. The 4in is a no dash and the 2 1/2 is a -1. I'm gonna stop with these two, well maybe a 6in to go with them.

Beautiful stainless guys - what an enjoyable read so far. Here's one that got a little scratched up at the factory.

I bought a 66 no dash in the early 1970s to carry on duty. Later another colleague wanted it more than I did so I sold it. Still got the M19 I bought before I picked up the 66. Got a 65 and a 686 no dash and the 19.

Congrats on getting that beautiful model 66-1. A great revolver indeed. I have a model 66-2 that I was fortunate to get a few years back. Welcome to the forum!
