Worth of this 625-3 3” barrel

So...I am THIS close to buying this 625 pre-lock “model of 1989” snubbie. Well used but apparently in good shape. The action has been polished and it has a competition cylinder release, albeit with bobbed but still functional hammer. In my limited experience these 3” barrels don’t come along very often, and the seller has come down to $895.00.
I very much value the opinions here, soooo......opinions?

At that price, it would be tempting. I have been looking on Gunbroker and Gunsinternational and the 3" 625's they had were all $1000+. You could offer $800 cash and see what happens. Keep us up to date and good luck. If I had the cash I'd buy it!

I have an interest in a 3 inch 625 so I have kind of been following prices. They are going for good money. Price seems a little high considering the bobbed hammer & rubber grips, but its not way high. They are hard to find

I have little interest in the 3” barrel. I am interested in those who respond with something like “around here they go for $xxxx. He wants $xxx, offer him $xx”. Because the asking price isn’t a deal?

I buy and sell, frequently. When I put a high price on an item, I expect offers. When I put a decent price on an item and someone offers me less, I don’t even respond. Nor will I sell to them if they offer me my price.

Since the seller has already come down to $895......I think trying for $800 would be perceived as not being reasonable. Personally, I would be slightly offended. You should be willing to pay a fair price, anyway! Bob
