    S&W Three Inch Fetish

    Howdy

Relatively new to the forum. Returning to revolvers after many years of carrying various all metal, and plastic semi-autos including the Austria-Wonder Pistols. I find myself attracted to 3" versions of Smiths and so far have amassed: a 66-2, a 640 (.38 only), and a 36 no dash (on the way).
An open question to forum members; what other 3" S&W might be considered in the collectable venue? I do prefer the older Smiths.

Thanks as always for your comments and suggestions.

Welcome. 3" guns are a favorite of mine.
This model 13 is probably my favorite.

Almost any 3 inch K frame in 357......nope, not almost.... Any 3 inch K frame in 357, like an M13, closely followed by any 3 inch K frame in 38 special.

Several 3" versions of some revolvers still on the wish list. Do like how they look but especially in .357 and .45acp.
I keep a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to take an ass whoopin'!

    Welcome to the forum Motorman!

These are some uncommon N-Frames worthy of consideration.

M24-3 3" bbl .44 Special, a Lew Horton exclusive run, they also did runs of 3" bbl 624's and 629's:

M657 3" bbl, was a special run by S&W as a "stocking dealer special"

And then in the L-frame family, the 3" bbl 686 CS-1 that was for the US Customs Service, which I do not have, but sure would like to.

Not a 3" gun, but a 2.5" model 19 should be in the running.
