    Factory box question

What year did Smith and Wesson start adding "LSI" to their one-piece blue cardboard boxes? Just curious because some have it and some dont.

Lear Siegler bought the company in 1984 and sold it in 1986. LSI appeared on the boxes sometime after 1984.
