Thank you been collecting Smiths (hoarding according to the ex) since my undergraduate days at Alabama circa 1984 or so
So what took you so long to join this forum? You've missed out on some great conversations, and friendships too.
That's an awesome collection you have there. Maybe you can tell us a story or two on how you built up the collection, and about some of your favorites as well.

Well that model 10 has kicked off a lot of interest. Let the bidding start at $400.

I agree, shoot the heck out of it and have a good time. Whoever or where ever the work was done shouldn't matter as long as you are satisfied. Looks like a good and unique find. By the way, looks like a great collection. have fun and be safe.

Its a model 10 frame but the Rear sight and Front sight have been added to the firearm. Blue does not match up and the milling of the frame looks uneven at the rear sight drop on the frame. remove the sight and look underneath you will probably see the milling marks.. don't know why some on would do that but its obviously not factory.

Well Iíve just never been into the online thing I tried to join the forum several years ago but had issues in getting my account to work so just forgot about it then. Lately Iíve been doing more online but still donít have Facebook or twitter etc. I think linked in is the only social sight Iíve been a member of. As for collecting I acquired my first smith while in college and knowing nothing about Smiths at the let it go later. It was a blue 6Ē k frame .22mag either 4 or 5 screw which now is now damm expensive. The sad part is Iíd only paid $100.00 for it. I really got into actuall seriou collecting in 1995 when our agency moved from revolvers to automatics.

If I knew then what I know now........Iíve let more than a couple prime collectible pieces come and go simply because I did not know better
