Other than an engraved, or otherwise special order gun. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/852315922

    Started @ $.01 & sold @ $4,225.00 in 45 bids... somebody was on a feeding/bidding frenzy!

I don't know if it's a record but definitely not cheap. When you combine a top rated seller with a top shelf product the sky is the limit.

Wow. So someone paid $3k for the box. ( IMO in that condition that's a ~$1000 to $1500 gun) But as said above, it is Woodlawn Boys (top notch stuff) and is well known to high dollar players. Seems like the winning bidder was on a mission..

Have to believe his photos had a lot to do with it--gun looks like it was ultrasonically cleaned. I've got one in the same condition finish-wise, with the box (no papers or tools, but the GB gun didn't have them either), but it would never photograph that well because I find it impossible to remove every last trace of oil & lint from the surface.

Box undoubtedly had a lot to do with it. But I've seen several sell for over $500 on ebay, one several yrs ago for about $650, & of course these are not going to be original to the gun the buyer presumably intends to put in it.

webhannet a 9 gun buyer was determined to own it. But, he had competition along the way. Very "pristine"!

Nice gun but to me that price is plain nuts.

There are always collectors out there that buy only top tier items. There were obviously two people that thought it was worth that. From what I've seen and read lately the gun itself was a $2500+ gun. Factor in the box, photos, and seller and the selling price wasn't too crazy. Just my unverified observation.
