    Grip resurrection

A friend donated a pair of these CDN orange K Frame grips that he just couldn't bear to look at. I tried them on a gun and they felt like someone insetted a couple pieces of 2X4 and maybe rounded the edges. Well there was a lot of wood above the medallions and escutcheons so I attacked them with my palm sander and then some 150 grit. Three hours later and some stain and they are some nice usable grips that don't look out of place on an old S&W. Definitely not worth the effort but considering the price and the 20 degree high temp yesterday it was a learning experience.
