    Cool Frame Lugs

    Hey ,

I wore out another frame lug (on one of my 625's)

Was debating sending it off for repair.....

InjunBro gave me a talkin' to (he mentioned phone calls to the Red Head, Skillet Lessons, and me havin' a FLAT head) and said I should be able to do it my own fool self....

Well, I ordered a pair from Numrich, and installed one this morning.

Using a pair of bench blocks, I drifted the old one...right out.

    Degreased everything.

    Applied some Red LockTite.

Installed it in the frame and gently staked it in.

    Will see if it works.

Thank you to InjunBro (yes, I can stake sights on 1911 slides, have at least three on hand..)

    Hey Injun,

Thank you for the heads up...

I left the internals "dirty"......that dirt is from Christmas, and I have not shot quite as much as normal... LOL (what with work and all)

    Cool Star Repair...

    Hey Curt,

Thank you for the kind words.

    Hey Injun,

That wasn't all that was on my plate, this weekend! No Siree Bob!

Our Star was showing its age...(or how much we like shooting it)!

    Had to effect some repairs..

    Cool Star Repair...

    Hey Injun,

If you think Dave has a BIG GRIN using his Gold Cup on the Star... should have seen it using these Star Slayers.... (he has not played much revolver, and he cleared the Star nicely with all three)

He liked all three, the Smolt for ease of shooting, the M-15 amazed him....how he could hit with it, the first time! (cleared the Star and had one left over for a "Bonus Target")

He really liked the M-25-2 (I had put a homemade Mcgivern Bead in the front sight) The Target Trigger/Hammer really ......tripped his Trigger!

Shame, we ran out of daylight....more adventures await.........
