How to share a video clip that doesn't have a HTTP address?

I often share pictures and some video's too, but they're (videos) generally from a link. I have personal videos on my computer, but I'm clueless as to how I could ever share them on the Forum, help?

You'll have to upload them to an external site like Youtube and then link them here. Our software doesn't support video attachments uploaded directly to the forum

Best move would be to upload to something like YouTube. You can make them unpublished, private or public. You are, of course, bound by their user agreements.

You can also upload them to a cloud server that you pay for, then share the link. Just plan on keeping it posted up there long term.

Once you have the file uploaded to a cloud or YouTube, you'll have a file link for the video that can be shared.

I maintain a YouTube channel for GRNC with multiple videos:

I believe that the video button just parses through standard YouTube addresses.

Example of embedded video from a link. (using Phil's link from above) Link just has to be wrapped in the video tag, which will happen automatically when you use the insert video function. That said, some browsers (such as IE11, which is technically no longer supported or updated) will have trouble with it. I have been using a browser called Brave, and it's really good, I highly recommend it as an alternative to chrome, opera, firefox, and edge, they all have their downside, notably chrome, because google doesn't need to know what the hell I'm doing all the time.
