Loaded my first round on April 4, 2014 so almost 5 years. It was 45acp. The next day I also loaded some 38 specials. I currently load for .380, 9mm, 38/357, .40 and 45acp calibers. I use a Lee Classic Turret Press and am completely satisfied with its performance.

For metal I think about 5 years. I loaded for clays about 10 years before I got into metal cartridges. I decided to downsize my pistol collection to limit the number of components I had on hand. I'm down to 38/357, 9 mm and 45 acp for pistols/revolvers. I can do all of those with two different powders. I load .223/5.56 and 30 carbine also. One of my revolver powders (2400) also works for my carbine so I only have one rifle powder. I reload all of these with 3 powders.

I know, that isn't the best situation for performance in each cartridge but I buy powder in 8 lb containers and bullets and primers by the thousand. All of my brass came from the range. I shoot a lot so it helps to keep costs down where I can. I'm retired and my range is open everyday of the year.

    Hey Welsh,

    Started my addiction/affliction in '78, with 45/70, 44Mag & 9mm... H'Day "C" press kit.

Mounted on a plank in such a fashion so as to allow attachment to a B&D "Work Mate" (still have "Work Mate"). Fold up & store in closet when not in use.

Along the way added: 45acp (going on the second Million +, of these), 30-06 (over 25,000 or 30,000 of these), 22-250, 38 Special, 45LC, 30 Carbine (got rid of those about ten years back), 38-55.....

    12, 20 & 16 gauge....Mec 650 and PW machines...

Use two 1050's and a 550 to keep the "hampers" full.....

    Later, Mark
