US Leads CO2 Reduction - Inflated Democrat Heads Explode!

Well, it's true. As the United States experiences one of the greatest economic growths in our history, we have also lead the world in CO2 reduction:

    https://www.dailywire.com/news/unite...ssions-in-2019

Climate change zealots in other nations, burdened by "carbon credit" expenses and "carbon market" overhead, didn't participate in this prosperity to the same extent as Americans.

80% of the increase in CO2 emissions came from China and India, nations with huge uncontrolled pollution problems.

Much of the decrease in the USA is related to shifting from Coal to Natural Gas energy sources.

Greta Thunberg and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are rumored to be wallowing in inconvenient truth as legacy media ignore American greatness.

I've been telling the greenies. That future isn't wind and solar, it's natgas.

Poor folks in the northeast won't be getting it. They don't have the infrastructure.

Some of the idiots have even banned fracking (hello New York).

How come you never hear these idiots say anything about "City effect"? You have cities with all their asphalt and concrete effecting weather patterns. In the winter there is a 10 to 15 degree difference in daytime low temps, if you go 30 or 40 miles out into the country from the city. During the summer, light rain showers will dry up or go round, due to the heat rising from the concrete and asphalt. But yet they worry, about a cow farting in a pasture 100 miles away, or they always seem to want someone in the country, to lose their job, or endure the changes the idiots impose upon them.

Now..if only the rest of the developed nations would do the same, but the Left will never be satisfied because it will never be enough.

It's the free market doing its own thing. Competition, supply and demand.

    ------

A 15% reduction in the use of coal for power generation underpinned the decline in overall US emissions in 2019,” the IEA continued. “Coal-fired power plants faced even stronger competition from natural gas-fired generation, with benchmark gas prices an average of 45% lower than 2018 levels. As a result, gas increased its share in electricity generation to a record high of 37%. Overall electricity demand declined because demand for air-conditioning and heating was lower as a result of milder summer and winter weather.

    ------

Had natural gas prices increased and seasonal conditions been at extremes, the opposite of the above would be true. It's just the way it is.

Coal plants are also under a lot of heavy burdening regulations that gas plants aren't. I worked for a utility that had gas, hydro, oil and coal units. The coal units were required to have expensive baghouses and scrubbers (expensive maintenance nightmares). That said, coal and nuke are the heavyweights when it comes to massive electric generation required for larger cities.
