    New member from south Florida!

Hi all! I'm a new shooter..got my CCP in January. I try to get to the range every other week.
I made the mistake of buying a 40 cal. as my first gun, so I'm trying to overcome flinching and a slight dislike of
the SD40ve. Got an M and P 22 cal. and I love practicing with it. Thanks for the membership.
I look forward to learning plenty from the veteran S&W owners on this forum!

Hello and welcome to the site! The SD40VE might have a stiff trigger, but it is a tough gun that will last a while. Welcome again.

    Welcome from the Space Coast.
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail." Ol' Jack Burton

    Lisa ,

A lil' trick you can try -
When you're shooting the 40 cal make a concerted effort to keep your eyes open and see the bullet make the hole in the target .
It will decrease your flinch reflex and make you a better shooter w any gun .

Good luck w your shooting and practice , practice , practice .

    Regards ,
    George
