Hello folks, just got me a M&P15 MSR and am looking forward to working up some loads for it. Does anyone reload? I am old school and have never had a semi-rifle before. so this is going to be a new experience for me. I have heard you need small base dies for reloading a semi, is this true? This rifle is stamped on barrel 1/8 5R. I am thinking this is a one in eight twist with 5R riflering, is this correct? Thanks for any help

Yes, that is the twist rate and style of rifling.

Hello useless and welcome to the forum from N.E. Indiana!!! Congrats on the new rifle!! I personally haven't heard of anyone reloading the (.223/5.56) they are so inexpensive to buy, factory loads around .23$ per round! Just my 2 cents!
