    Hi to the S&W Forum

I am retired Law Enforcement Officer from Pasco, WA and retired in 2001....Moved to AZ in 2006.......Been a collector since I was about 12....
Currently studying all the information I can find on the S&W Mdl 547 3" 9mm which I have owned since 1987...Two different numbers when I open the cylinder........A829591 and 8D45263......so one is obviously the serial number....would love to hear from other Mdl 547 owners...Actually still have the original box and serial number is: 8D45263

Mine is the 3" model with round butt and near mint, if not MINT condition and I am assigning a value of about $1200.00 or more....Purchased this 547 from Northland Sports Inc in 1987...Only 6486 made in the three inch models......

Thanks for any information you 547 owners can send my way......my email is: [email protected] and I currenly live in Gold Canyon, AZ

Welcome from SE AZ. The serial # is on the bottom of the grip frame. The other # is a now meaningless assembly #.
