    Hello

    Hi guys
First time on this forum. I own TRR8 5" with vortex VIPER 158 gr JHP great on DEER, 625-8 performance center 4" 255 gr hardcast +p or 255 gr hardcast 45 super knocks the crap out of big pigs, ruger new model blackhawk 45 convertible haven't shot anything with it yet but am anxious to try it on hogs soon. I also have a 629 6" with scope GOOD for anything else LOL.
My question to all is what are your opinions on the 625 and 45 super ammo. I know the Ruger is stronger but DAMN my 625 is a better shooter. Thanks

Welcome to the forum! Any pics of what your describing? We'd like to see them. I also have a 625 and love it! Can't compare it to a Ruger as I don't have one in .45acp, but I do like my 3" GP100.

Welcome to the forum from NE Georgia. I do not know but would recommend maybe giving S&W a call. But I do load my 45 Colt a little hotter due to the 45 ACP pressure rating with good results. I would just stick to the ammo the gun was made for.
I have a 625 and a Bisley Blackhawk and Lipsey Blackhawk Convertibles and the Bisely and the Lipsey get shot a lot more then the 625. The Blackhawks are as accurate as I can shoot.

Thanks Rodney! I hear ya......I've read a lot of conflicting info on this issue......what leads me to think that it is safe is the because Clark Custom guns do a 460 Rowland conversion using the factory cylinder and boring it out to accommodate the extra length of the 460 Rowland. But! if it isn't safe I can't justify shooting it this way. Just trying to get to the bottom of this issue.
