Wow, thanks to Injunbro for your generosity and to all of you who voted for the story. Makes me prouder than a pup with a new rubber ball.
I thoroughly enjoyed all of the other stories. We have some pretty good "yarners" here.
Injunbro, PM on the way and thanks again for this event.

The book Injunbro donated about Elmer Keith arrived today. I had no idea it was as big and substantial as it is. I guess thinking back on some of Elmer's ramblings, I shouldn't be surprised. I've got a lot of respect for a feller that is more windy than I am.
I am anxious to dig into the book. I read some of Elmer's stuff years back and it led me to buying my S&W .41magnum M&P and carrying it during my LEO days.
I loaded it to Elmer's specs and it was a very effective round indeed. That old 58 and I got into some serious social encounters a few times, and I always figured Ol Elmer helped me get home more than once.
So thanks to Injunbro for your generosity, and to all of you who participated in the thread.

Did the book have any blood or grease stains from the frying pan on it? ;)
