I have met a few MOH recipients from WW2 but the one that stood out for me was Captain George Street. He lived in the area where I grew up and was a friend of my dad. He was a real gentleman and was sorry when I heard he had passed away. Those men and women from that generation saved this country and we still owe them.

Everything that happens is either endurable or not. If it’s endurable, then endure it. Stop complaining. If it’s unendurable . . . then stop complaining. Your destruction will mean its end as well.

He hoped his country could be as proud of him as he was of his country. What a man, may God bless you.
