    Insurance

Does anyone have recommendations on firearms insurance? I have a USAA policy but they are fairly expensive and I need to add some coverage. USAA is an excellent company, but it never hurts to do a little comparison shopping.

don't know if you are aware that your nra membership comes with a free 2500.00 worth of insurance. you can also buy additional insurance through their designated carrier for 15.00 per thousand which is where the bulk of my insurance comes from. the nra website explains it all very well. and i can tell you from first hand experience ( 14 guns stolen in 2010 ) they were right there with a check within a week or so and no nonsense.

When I got burglarized in 1999, I lost about $8K worth of guns, among other things.....between the $5K rider on my homeowners, and the NRA insurance, I got a great head-start in getting some of them re-purchased....

Some of you guys here have such pristine collections, you might wanna call Lloyd's Of London.....

The insurance through the NRA is the way to go.

I belong to the NRA, so I have their coverage for $2500. That will cover my current collection. My homeowner's insurance policy also covers them for $2000......for any future collection growth. Bob

Besides the NRA Insurance my State Farm homeowner's "firearms rider" is fairly cheap.

You might wanna check with a State Farm Agent nearest you.
