    Leather Holster Recommendation For S&W 629 4”

    Howdy
Brand new to the forum. Hope you can help. Would like your recommendation for the above Holster. Would like to carry it strong side and don’t mind buying a sturdy belt to go with it so my pants stay up.
    Any suggestions
    Thanks

Check out nelsonholsters.com -- James does fantastic work and has just come through an extremely trying time with very serious family health problems. He's now back to his normal 1 to 6 weeks lead time.

It is unusual for the shooters at our club to notice and comment on a holster, and yet I've had several unsolicited favorable comments on one left hand draw OWB drop holster he custom made for me.

Bianchi 111 Cyclone which can be worn as a cross draw or strong side. Also El Paso Saddlery Tom Threepersons, this is a strong side holster that is just about ideal. JMHO. HTH. Sincerely. bruce.

Depends on a couple of things. Revolver or self loader? Is this for carrying concealed carry or range time? Your budget can influence things also. I like the Bianchi 5BH and used one for years to carry. For the late decade (?) I have preferred a copy of the Brill style of holster. Here is a photo with both styles and a couple of N frames.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. Sorry if I left out some details. I prefer strong side carry, and
will be carrying it concealed. I'm somewhat a traditionalist, since I like leather and have had some leather
holsters for many years, and they have held up wonderfully. I have had a few Kydex holsters which are light and ok
    but lack character IMO.

I'm very pleased with Simply Rugged https://www.simplyrugged.com/ for both Gov't and Commander size 1911, will be ordering one for a 686P/4". Very comfortable and easy to reholster without soft leather getting in the way.
