    I can use your Prayers

Tomorrow at 9:30am I go into surgery. I'll be at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa, Arizona and expect be there for 4-7 days. Hopefully all will go well and my intestines will be reconnected. Your Prayers are appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Geezer

I had a colon section in 2013, with my reconnect 6 months later.

Since there was extreme danger of sepsis during the first surgery that recovery was difficult. The reconnect went much better. Recovery went smoothly, and the skilled hands of the surgeon got the job done. I even got a bonus appendectomy.

My surgeries took several hours each, but - of course - you're not really aware of any of that.

Be aggressive about getting up to walk as soon as the nurses will allow it. I think I was on my feet the next day after the reconnect surgery. Take precautions because a fall would be bad, so make sure someone is with you until you're sure of your footing. I always had the rack with drips to roll around with me for some support. When the nurses see you taking part in your recovery, they will often take better care of you. One (who noticed) told me to look at the people I was passing as I walked the halls. Many were not putting effort into their recovery and were not getting better...
    Cheers! Marc

Go for it! You got this! I'll have you in mind.

As my doctors usually tell me, "You'll SAIL thru this!!!"

I've found it was usually rough sailing.......but I make it.

"Supposin' I was to go to work and learn how to... to read writin'. Well, how'd I know that the feller that... that wrote the writin' was a writin' the writin' right? Here I might be just a readin' wrong writin', don't ya see?"
