What I load and shoot, Bergers. In my case, 250's or 300's in 338 class. (38 caliber) VLD (long ogive) match hunters but 300 Win Mag is 30 caliber. The guy who builds my custom rifles is an F Class shooter in 30 caliber (308) 1000 yard. I'm lucky if I can ring steel at 1000 yards though I have rang it at over 1500 in the past. Not on the first shot however. Lots of stuff going on at that distance.

Just got a big box from Powder Valley this morning.

    SidecarFlip,
How does .338 Win Mag compare the the .338 Lapua?
I'm just a little curious, because I just found a Left handed Savage .338 Win Mag rifle, and a bunch of ammo in my stuff.
I know I bought it for a reason, but other than being left handed I can't figure out why I have it.

Teach them the truth, and let them sort thru the cobwebs of liberalism that have infested their minds.
When the time comes that I don't want a new gun, call the undertaker!
When they come for your guns, give them the ammo first!
.45 ACP, Because shooting twice is just plain silly!
