But to your specific question about the 2000's, CZ was making some very nice Model 452 .22 caliber rifles during that period (serious accuracy and quality for the price). That was also the time frame for the S&W 952's and 945's but they are a little pricey.

Good luck on your bid. The model 65 is something I wouldn't mind having, or even a model 13.

I have a Model 13-2 and it is loads of fun at the range. A real pussycat with .38 specials in it.

Truly a dilemma K22 and I hope that you can soon correct it with that Model 65-8. I've had a Model 65 since 1977 and they are a great workaday handgun. This one rode with me for several years on the job.

Collection goal achieved. Gunbroker just notified me I have won a Model 65-8. Can't wait. It is a LE trade in but I didn't see any marks on the pics posted on gunbroker. A Model 65-8 is not even listed in the tech changes for a Model 65 in the 3rd edition of the SCS&W. It only goes up to 65-7 and then says the Model was discontinued in 2005. But over in the Ladysmith portion of the Model 65's it does list a 65-8. The change took place in 2005. So this pretty much has to be a 2005 production and ergo my goal is achieved.

Can beat that; achieving a goal; even if you backed into it.

Congrats on having the winning bid. Can't wait to see it after you get it cleaned up and with the PC magnas. Should look great!
