Looks like that target will not survive and very nice gun.
Took my 36 cal and shot it some today. I enjoy shooting it. It fires fast and reliably, if I do my part.
Doesn't use much powder and no recoil to speak of.
I shot at a little over 30 yards. Got 1 round I dropped low. Other than that, it was an enjoyable time.
Now to clean it back up.
With the cost of ammo so high, dont expect a warning shot.

Looks like a good time. Never shot one but would like to someday
Good looking rifle and good shooting! Pedersoli Blue Ridge?
No, not quite.
I commissioned a gunmaker in north east Pa to build it.
The gunmaker owns an unsigned original Lehigh rifle from around 1820. Its copied from that rifle.
It sports a Rice A weight swamped barrel that is 42 in long. A Chambers Late Ketland lock with a single pinned trigger. The furniture is as close as I could get for a Lehigh style rifle.
No fancy stuff on it, just a mouldings line along the forestock.
It's a plain, simple rifle. A " schimmel", or barn gun. Although I would never let it sit in the barn.
From what I understand, a Pedsoli is an ok entry level gun. They dont mirror any style, or school of original long rifles. But they do shoot well, when they decide to go bang. Lol.

That is a fine looking rifle and nice shooting!
