    First Flintlock

I've had a lot of percussion guns over the years but never a flintlock.

    .69 caliber requires big balls.

Good you can load it with shot and avoid all the follow through issues. Next try a squirrel rifle.

That Charleville is one neat pistol. That should stop anything you want to tackle.

I have a .40 flint pistol. Kinda puny next to a .69 cannon.

Maybe if I had the matching .40 flint rifle we'll be on more even ground.

After watching a series on the Revolution I've always wanted a pistol from that period.
I also got a reproduction 1861 Springfield rifled musket in that deal.
I'll start a thread on that after I get pictures.

    Neat pistol.

I've always wanted a reproduction Harpers Ferry style flintlock pistol. I think they are 69 caliber too. And they have a hefty brass butt cap too. If you missed, you could brain your opponent into submission!

Cool stuff! I always referred to them as "flinchlock", for obvious reasons.....
