Camp Perry? That's great.
I'd like to go one day, take my Garand but also a Swede Mauser.
I took part in the Garand, Springfield, Vintage and Modern Military Rifle (GSMM) Match at Camp Perry this morning. Temps were in the mid-30s, but everyone seemed to have a smile on their face. The guy I was paired up with was shooting a beautiful 1903 Krag. I love events like these. No one is too stressed out about the competition and it's like being part of working history museum where you actually get to shoot.
I shot a respectable score and didn't have to hang around for the awards ceremony.

That does sound like a lot of fun with people like you. Glad you shot good and hopefully a lot of stories going around.

Sounds like a fine old time as we say around here.
I don't know if it's just me but it's more satisfying shooting in the cold, snow, or rain. I might just be crazy.
