From that video link I posted it sounds like a bunch are coming in. A friend had one built in Opalocka FL. Good for cutting down cabbage palms! The bolt broke

This one rode around in the gun rack in my pickup for 20 years on the ranch.
    It's a year older than I am.

It's still loaded and on duty to this day.

Nice ensemble. But what's up with the M16 blank firing device?

A guy gave me that right after I got the gun.. He told me it was for an M-1. I was all excited about the gun and threw everything together for a picture.. Later I found out it was for the M16. Too lazy to take another picture.

Somewhere, I've got a winter trigger for it too.

Hornady and Federal make Garand specific loads. The CMP sells Garand specific ammo. Modern high pressure 30/06 ammo is hard in the op-rod and innards.

I've used S&B. It's fine. Most of my Garand ammo has been the Greek from CMP. Horniday makes good stuff, too. I would certainly trust American Eagle, but haven't tried it yet. So far, I've found enough "Garand" ammo, I haven't bothered trying a gas plug. I have a growing supply of brass for the day I start reloading my own.

Plus just got the Argentine Mauser in 30-06 and when get it cleaned up it will take care of any ammo that may not fit the Garand. I agree as so far have found a lot of good ammo stating it is for the M! Garand.

AFAIK, most 150 grain 30.06 ammo is usable in a Garand. Many boxes are specifically labeled "Garand".
I got some PPU, from Ammoman, I believe it was 500 rounds, specifically made for Garand. Shoots very
    well.
