I don't beleive in modern love, until...

I do have some modern firearms, and some perform beyond measure, certainly beyond my abilities. There are none that I feel a connection to though, no guns with a soul and character. Nothing like a S&W K38, a Colt Official Police, or an odd but charming Webley. So, quoting David Bowie I don't believe in modern love. Until today.

Into my life, wearing stainless steel and rosewood, night sights, an extended beaver tail (oh be good) and a short reset trigger came a SIG Sauer P226 Elite Stainless. This thing has the wow factor, a feel, and is a tack driver. Yup - I'm in love. A classic, get the job done firearm, made into art.

It's from March 6, 2014 but is unfired. Well, was unfired. 9mm. Yes it's heavier, but it sure absorbs recoil, and since we aren't allowed to carry in Canada the weight is a non-issue.

Thought some of you might enjoy seeing it. My last hoorah before the election up here. I hope our idiot boy-man Prime Minister (the genius in black face) is shown the door.

I assume the many of you have carried and shot the P226. They seem to have devoted following. My first SIG.

( I rotated all the pics but they persist in being up side down, sorry)

THAT.....is one nice looking 9mm. to own. I recently bought a Ruger Plastic 9mm. It's a great pistol for CCW.........but it sure doesn't look anywhere as beautiful as your SIG!!!! I'm jealous!!!! Bob

That is a real beauty. Congratulations, but still a wheel gun fanatic. But that one does get the heart beating a little faster.

That is a fine looking SIG! Kenneth wants to eventually get a 220 in .45 but something else always comes up.

Very nice, very nice indeed. However, I fell out of love with Sig a few years ago and sold every one I had. I carry only wheel guns now. Just me.

I have a real soft spot for Sigs, all of them I have fired gave excellent results, I carried a 229 in .357 Sig for years and then I got lazy in my old age and started carrying a Ruger LCP II in my pocket. That is a fine looking Sig you have there.
