While out rambling with my oldest son, Drew Jr. last weekend we covered the road less traveled. We are both motor heads and invenerate old car gawkers so I dug out the camera for a few snapshots.... I'll add to this as the future opportunity allows. Feel free to throw in a few snapshots of your own.

Hope you enjoy these Ghosts in the Snow.

Nice shots. The only one in the snow I can offer is this one of my '64 Jimmy Carryall in the "snow" of western AZ.

Great pictures, Drew! I kind of like the tank.

Drew, any idea if either of those fire trucks were Seagraves? That's my wife's maiden name and we're always on the look for examples for the kids.

Wendy, Drew threw in the tank cause he knew you love those big guns.
I'm a fire Truck guy. I 've always wanted to buy one. My wife says if I can find a good deal it's okay with her, as long as I'm not out there fighting fires.

Drew, like wendy said, Great Pictures. thanks

The fire truck...wow!
To add on to our conversation Drew, I can tell you that that exact truck spent a considerable amount of time up at Gooserocks, right up the street and around the corner. I remember it well, its the only truck I ever have seen with that peculiar oval window at the rear facing jump seat. The truck is a combo pumper/short ladder, called a quad, something they stopped making 25 years ago or more. They were once quite a treasure for a small town to own, a mainstay of rural firefighting.
If I looked long enough, I think somewhere I still have some 1960s B&W family photos that show that truck in the 4th of July beach parade. Where is it sitting these days?

It's somewhere was of Shapliegh, Maine, on the NH Border near Wakefield.... was not too far from Forester.

Cool that you know the truck.

That would be a great project for car class. It amazes me to see the love and devotion that people in this area put into restoring the 50s and 60s cars. We see them at times. Cars from that era that looks new and pristine. Always beautiful to look at.
