I'm looking at possibly buying a single action revolver in 45LC, has anyone had any experence with the Beretta's?
I like the Birdshead 3 1/2 inch with case color frame.
I also like the Ruger, which is best?

Beretta owns Uberti, so the Stampede was a given. I have owned three Uberti SA revolvers. They are pretty good clones of the Colt SAA and as such, not as stong as the 'full size' Blackhawks/Vaqueros. The first one was almost as accurate as my Blackhawk, the second was not. The one I have now is accurate, but it was abused in it's youth {long before I got it} and I fear it will never see it's full potential

Catdad, I have a Stampede in 44-40 and I think it is a great single action. I have a Blackhawk in .45 LC too but I prefer the Stampede for everyday shooting. My buddy has two Stampedes in .45 LC and he has had no problems mechanically.

As I've only owned one 'Italo', I'm no authority.
I'll say this, though: Strength-wise, Ruger rules the roost.
As far as a 'Colt-like' appearance goes, the Berettas are magnificent.

I have a 4 3/4" Cimarron Uberti SAA in .44 Special - a nice inexpensive handgun and a lot of quality for the money - and OK for standard and moderate +P loads. A Ruger isn't quite as handy, but is definitely a stronger firearm for stout loads.

I've closely examined all of the Uberti-made SAAs and the Cimarrons seem to be of the highest quality - in fit and finish. JMO.

Per your question as to does my Stampede have three clicks. I had to go to the safe to test it. Yes, it has three clicks. One click about half way back on the hammer and then two quick clicks right before the full cock.
