i agree and disagree with Mr.Lobo... I find that the Smith & Wesson line of blades are ergonomical, practical, and hold a decent edge. i also find them to be throw away knives though. i don't shed a tear when i use it as a screwdriver, prybar, you know, all of the things you are not supposed to do with a knife. In that aspect, i like having a few around. but for everyday carry, i will stick to my U.S.A. made Kershaw Storm II, or my U.S.A. made Kershaw Damascus Scallion. My U.S.A. made Buck 119, or U.S.A. made Ontario pilot survival knife when i am in the mood for a fixed blade...

I was at Cabela's over the weekend looking for a new hunting knife. I looked at almost everything they had & I checked out the S&W knives too. I ended up buying a Buck Model 692.
It's made right around the corner from where I live up here in Idaho, and I'm supporting the local businesses and employees too. Makes me feel good to buy American products when I can.

I have a Kershw in my pocket and that blade stays sharp better than any knife I've ever pocketed. I found it in the armrest of my wifes car after we bought it and have been using it ever since. Whenever anybody borrows it, they comment on how nice the Kershaw's are.

There are some really high quality American made S&W blades out there (the collector knives), but they are hard to find, and of course they sell at a premium. For now I'll stick with what I have.
