    Wire brushes lose their threaded end

    If you rotate a wire brush, like cleaning a cylinder, run the brush CCW, -- the way the wire is twisted and the tip thread crimped on, the threaded end will come off if you rotate the brush CW.

    I've seen a few nice S&W revolver cylinders damaged by someone doing that type of "cleaning" with a stainsless steel brush and a drill.....Duh.
