I have just went through my assortment of firearms, taking a good left and right picture, then getting a close up if the model and serial number. I then assemble them into a folder That is titled with the make, model, caliber and serial number. I am going to keep these on a couple of flash drives for insurance and other identification purposes. As time goes by, I intend to add any identifying marks to the files, as well as a scan if the bills of sale for the guns. As cheap as a flash drive is becoming these days it could be a worthwhile investment in the event of theft, fire or weather catastrophe. I'll also burn a snapshot cd as my collection changes and stabilizes.

I keep price, and description, not much else.
I keep a spreadsheet with the models, make, year, and value. I also have a picture and receipt for each one.

That's cool Crazybastid83. It's so nice of you having 6 guns. I figure you really need a list for all those.
I keep both written, and electronic, records of mine.
I have a 75 cent bound composition book with a good description etc. for each one. I also record any dispositions there. It is kept at a secure location "off property". I'll confess to being just a little paranoid about the electronics.
I am still crying since peterpistol made fun of me.
