I have a M&P 9mm - love it. Can't wait for the Shield to be available. I've heard conflicting information about dry firing the M&P9. Is it OK or not? Same question for the Shield as well.
With that being said, if you plan to dry fire it 100's of times to tweek the trigger pull I would still invest in some snap caps. (Cheap Insurance)
If you are concerned about occasionally drive firing than I would not worry about it. Remember S&W has a lifetime warranty. JHMO
I dry fired my Sigma 40 a LOT, to get very used to the tougher trigger. After snapping the firing pin,
I now use snap caps!
